Varicose veins can also be treated at home

Arteries and veins are called the conduit through which blood flows in the human body. The arteries are filled with liquid, oxygenated blood that flows from the heart to the extremities. Its flow is facilitated by gravity, and no strong pressure is exerted on these vessels. Everything is much more complicated with veins. Your job is to get the thick, clogged blood back to the heart. In this case, you need to prevent it from flowing back. There are valves in the veins for this purpose. They only open in the desired direction and only when the heart muscle contracts. Over time, the veins of such a load become tired, inelastic and brittle. The valves begin to lose blood. If you do not take care of it in a timely manner, varicose veins will not bypass a person.

The causes of varicose veins

Most often, this problem occurs with veins as a result of:

  • genetic predisposition or heredity,
  • disturbed heart work,
  • Obesity,
  • sedentary lifestyle
  • prolonged carrying of weights,
  • Pregnancy and childbirth.

Of course, there are many other reasons that make the situation worse. For example junk food, alcohol, tobacco products, sedentary and standing work, strong persistent cough, injuries, nervous system disorders and others.

Like most diseases, varicose veins develop imperceptibly and quietly. But with an attentive attitude towards health, you can see the first manifestations. Basically we can observe the disease of the veins in the legs. The initial stage is spider veins on the thighs or lower legs. At this point, it is time to fix the problem, but almost no one is doing it. Therefore, over time, cramps, swelling, feelings of tiredness and aching pain in the legs appear. This is followed by swelling of individual vein sections, which are caused by atrophy of several valves, so-called knots are formed. The pain and cramps get worse and more frequent. Eventually extensive involvement of the external and deep veins. The blood flow to the vessels is cardinally disturbed, severe pain when walking, including cracks in the skin and ulcers.

The legs are just the part we see. But the disease doesn't just affect them. Hemorrhoids are also varicose veins. In addition to the intestines, stomach, uterus and other internal organs invisible to us, most likely also suffer from it. Therefore, it is worth paying attention to the first symptoms and acting.

Methods of dealing with varicose veins

Above all prevention. These include moderate physical education, proper nutrition, and regular self-examinations of the body for the appearance of unwanted signs. If the dilated veins have already made themselves felt, you should see a specialist. You may need to take certain medications to strengthen the blood vessel walls or to thin the blood. This will improve their movement. It also makes sense to buy special compression stockings or stockings. They reduce stress and help the vessel walls push the blood into the veins. In the most advanced cases, they will unfortunately recommend surgery. Before taking such drastic measures, however, one should assess the situation carefully.

Natural resources and the experience of people who went through such a serious illness have many positive examples of recovery. It is possible that they will help someone else win.
